Netanyahu invites Judea and Samaria leaders for meeting

Prime Minister Netanyahu summoned Judea and Samaria leaders to his office in the wake of the recent demonstrations against Netanyahu for the slow construction in Judea and Samaria and the ineffectiveness of the war against Arab terrorism.

Arutz Sheva has learned that the meeting will be held next Wednesday, and that the Samaria Regional Council Yossi Dagan, the head of the Binyamin Council Yisrael Gantz, the head of the Hevron Regional Council Yohai Damari, the head of the Gush Etzion council, Shlomo Ne'eman, and the heads of the Yesha Council, were invited.

The prime minister plans to update the leaders on his plans for settlement development, and he will ask them to present their proposals and requests for joint work in the next civil year - 2019.

 

At the beginning of the week, a demonstration was held by residents of Judea and Samaria in front of the cabinet meeting, protesting the impotence in dealing with Arab terror and demanding practical measures to strengthen settlement, including the town of Ofra in Binyamin.

A number of cabinet ministers attended the demonstration, including Minister Naftali Bennett, Minister Uri Ariel, Minister Ayelet Shaked, Minister Yariv Levin, Minister Ofir Akunis, Minister Eli Cohen and a number of Knesset members.
