Here at Alt-Right News, we were fully convinced that Richard Spencer (as usual) had been the dominating voice of the Alt-Right in 2017, and would win any poll on the subject hands down.
Not only is he the best looking of all the Alt-Righters -- I'm thinking here of people like Mike Anglin, Andy Forney, Matt Nowicki, and Andrew Enoch -- but he is also by far the most charming and witty, while being up-to-speed with most of the key philosophical ideas of our movement. How could he lose?
This was certainly the view of two lists published on Spencer's own site, composed by two of his relatively unknown associates, where he came a resounding first in both.
No one else seemed close. After all this was the man who only days before had gone head-to-head with the much feared Sargon of Akkad in a YouTube debate and had "bearded the lion in his den."
So, imagine our shock and horror when an online, multiple choice poll with write-ins circulated among the Alt-Right on Twitter by Colin Liddell produced the following results:
Millennial Woes 96 votes
Richard Spencer 78 votes
Jared Taylor 61 votesGreg Johnson & John Morgan 55 votes
Daily Shoah (Enoch and 7th Son) 52 votes
This bombshell indicates that even though Spencer is much admired in our movement for his redoubtable gifts, he does not evoke the same level of sheer affection and deep moral respect as Millennial Woes, who also seems, at least on the surface, to be a harder worker (Sadly, much of the hard work that Spencer puts in is behind the scenes and lost to view.)
