Spanish UNder-19 midfielder Pape Cheikh Diop has signed a 5-year deal with French Lique 1 side Olympique Lyonnais for a reported initial £9.26 million (€10m - AUS$15.01m - US$11.96m) fee. The full fee including add-ons is reported to be £12.97 million (€14m - AUS$21.02m - US$16.75m) by the French side.

He was linked with Tottenham but the French side can offer the, now former, Celta Vigo player a regular starting berth, something all players wanting to play at next summer's World Cup and seeking.
