It certainly sounds like Inter Milan are feeding stories to the media with the Italian press suggesting we are interested in 30-year-old (31 next February) Italian winger Antonio Candreva.

It just happens that they want Erik Lamela, a younger and better player for less than he is worth, not a chance of that deal happening and highly unlikely that it has any truth in it quite frankly. He isn't young, he isn't going to increase in value, he doesn't add to the squad and at 30 is unlikely to improve.

While he might have been a player of interest a few years back he doesn't fit our current transfer policy. Isn't it amazing the number of their players the Italian press suggest we are interested in and yet we buy none of them, we don't even seem to bid for them either and yet we are constantly told they want to buy our players. Coincidence?
